I am delighted to be confused for the star of my film, but I am only the director of FREEHELD. You are mistaking me with the subject of my film, Stacie Andree, who had never been to California until this weekend (and who did, in fact, buy her dress at Lord & Taylor).

Not to nitpick, but: Cynthia Wade - the director of Freeheld - has been to California several times and she got her dress, which was a Zac Posen, at Bergdorf Goodman. One of the subjects of her film, Stacie Andree, was also in attendance - Before she attended the Awards, Stacie had never been west of Pittsburgh.
What a wonderful way to go west. Congratulations to the both of them on their incredible win - the film is amazing and they are so deserving.

Cynthia graduated from Stanford, so I'm pretty sure she's been to California.
