It was not only amazing to see a real person like Diablo win and be proud with her tattoo, animal print dress and skull and crossbone earrings, but to have Scott Rudin accept the award and thank his partner, and in case there was any question if he was his business or life partner he referred to him by name and called him "honey". What a satisfying cherry on the top of a sweet show. I am still crying thinking about how important this is to GLBT people who work everyday in the industry and are assumed to be straight by mainstream Americans. I hope for the day that this won't even be a milestone until then, kudos to a man brave enough to say he loves another man on a major primetime telecast.
